Quality Control and Product Specifications

Consistent specifications matter particularly in humic products, where raw material origin, extraction conditions and testing methods can influence reported results.

Our quality process

Our quality process includes raw-material evaluation, specification confirmation, finished-product testing and packaging inspection, according to the requirements of each product and order.

Parameters we report

Depending on the grade, important quality parameters may include:

  • Humic acid or fulvic acid content
  • Test method and reporting basis
  • Water solubility and insoluble matter
  • pH and moisture content
  • Potassium, sodium or other relevant mineral content
  • Ash content
  • Particle size or granule characteristics
  • Heavy metals and other market-specific requirements

Test methods stated in our Technical Data Sheets

Our current Technical Data Sheets (TDS v1.0) state the test method for each parameter. The methods used most often are:

ParameterTest method
Humic acid (dry basis)HG/T 3278-2011
Fulvic acid (dry basis)HG/T 5334-2018
Potassium as K₂O (dry basis)GB/T 33804-2017
pH (1:100)GB/T 33804-2017 or HG/T 3278-2011, as stated in each TDS
Water solubility (dry basis)HG/T 3278-2018 or HG/T 3278-2011, as stated in each TDS
MoistureGB/T 8576 or HG/T 3278, as stated in each TDS
Appearance, flake and particle sizeVisual
FinenessSieve method or NY/T 3034, as stated in each TDS

Because humic substance measurements can vary between analytical methods, buyers comparing products from different suppliers should confirm that the results are reported on a comparable basis. For custom specifications, the agreed test method and acceptance criteria should be established before production.

Documents

  • Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for each grade
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA) issued with each shipment
  • Batch identification
  • Third-party testing requirements can be discussed for each order

Values in a TDS are typical values, not a specification. Batch results are stated on the Certificate of Analysis issued with each shipment.
